Taking the liberty of reposting an article from Mashable, which is a really cool how to educational site for bloggers. To start with the writer is a guy Josh Cantone– by that I mean male. That’s good but.. most guys that come to the studio aren’t very involved with all the details of the wedding day. We do see quite a few of you guys that are interested in the photography. Most of the time the colors and flowers and other stuff is left up to MOB and the bride. Anyway.. neat post starts with colors and ends with booking your honeymoon.

Since I ( Barry’s wife here) am kinda of a geek about planning, goal setting and organizing this was right up my alley. The article of course lists Etsy which has soo many really neat things to blow the budget on. Make sure that you look in the wedding category on Etsy. MyRegistry.com was pretty helpful too– think most guys would be better off choosing the dishes and other goodies in the comfort or their pj’s.. At least I know Barry would –as shopping isn’t too high up on his priority list. Well unless it is for camera gear and music. Guess the coolest looking site one to me was the Wedding Wire IPhone app. Let me know what you think.

One of the blogs that I stalk is Wedding Aces. There are a couple million wedding sites out there but this is designed well and and has the viewpoint of many guest writers/ bloggers rather than just one person’s opinion. This visual that caught my eye was this teal inspiration board. Teal has been our branding color for 14 years so I guess i am a bit biased towards it. Hope to see you of you blog stalkers using it for your wedding this spring.

Darcy and Phil enjoyed food and festivities at Calhoun’s after the rehearsal. The big day started at Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church with flowers by Leonard of Always in Bloom. What an incredible service!  You could just really see the passion that Darcy and Phil have for God in their hearts. After the knot was tied all headed to Angelo’s at the Point in Danridge, Tennessee. What fun heading over the bridge in a convertible. Love the fun fall colors– and what is the football thing that they were doing?….. Did Darcy know about that? Guess it was the Tennessee and Auburn home game…. Good luck!
