Two years ago Trevor Bayne was chosen to be the best man in his uncle’s big day, his Knoxville wedding at Crescent Bend historic home. This weekend fate appeared to choose Trevor to win the Daytona 500, shocking the NASCAR world, and himself. I imagine those around him, who know him well, while ecstatic, are perhaps not too shocked.
Sunday night we were watching the Knoxville local news and Lynn recognised a name. While our family is not particular fans of NASCAR, there was a lot of buzz about a local boy having won the big race, out of the blue. Names and faces are not one of my strengths, but some details do manage to stick, and I remembered a nephew who was pursuing a dream in car racing was enough for me to know it had to be him. Going back through the wedding photographs to see if I had many, any, I had forgotten that Trevor was the best man in Anthony and Jenn’s wedding. At age 17, he was best man. Clearly someone ahead of his years. What also shows through in the weddings photographs, is what has everyone excited about locally. This is “a good kid” who knows how to have fun and ham it up, and also when to switch it off. Reading the local press, since age five Trevor has lived, breathed and dreamt car racing, making some tough decisions and sacrifiices at an early age, with some amazing family support. He has also grown up with a couple of cameras and microphones not too far away, perhaps explaining the ease and comfort he displayed around the media frenzy for his”overnight success”. A more deserving Best Man it would be hard to find.

10-10-10 was the wedding date! Hopefully easy for Matt to remember !! Lindsey and bridesmaids got ready at the Knoxville Crown Plaza and walked across to the L&N Station to meet Matt and have fall wedding portraits taken before the ceremony. Did you know contrary to custom that is THE best way to have your wedding day go smoothly. With 15 years and nearly 300 weddings under Barry’s belt it is kind of a no brainer!! Great fall weather and fun-loving, crazy bride made Barry and Melissa’s day. The wedding ceremony took place at the Foundry on the Fair Site with the party there as well. Like what you have seen? We love comments!! and want to hear from our clients and friends. If you are getting married in 2011 we would love to hear from you. (June is getting nearly filled up!!) E-mail Barry! to check on your date.

The 2011 Angel’s and Sweethearts Calendar was a really fun (crazy!!) project and I was so pleased to be able to donate $7,500 to the March of Dimes at their Chefs Auction Dinner in November! It really means a lot to me to be able to help these families and children who are coping with so much due to premature birth. We do still have calendars available and they make great Holiday gifts! The money will still go to the March of Dimes if anyone is interested you can purchase them on our non-profit web site at www.seatonshoots.org or at several area locations. Crenshaw Children’s Shop, Southern Market and Crescent Bend- The Armstrong Lockett House
I love working with babies and children. This project gave me an unbelievable opportunity to do just that. Even though the parents were not in the images, it was really because of their support that we were able to make the donation to the March of Dimes. Thanks to all our sponsors: Print Edge who did an amazing job! Karen Dockery, art director and graphic designer, who helped with making the wings to getting the calendar ready for printing. And our printing sponsors: Women’s Speciality Care Group (esp. Dr. Nikki Zite) and Dr. Leonard Brabson (and Gail!!) with Women’s Health Specialists. And Stephanie Moyers, Community Director at the March of Dimes, who didn’t think I was crazy when I came to her in the summer of 2009 with this idea. The seed of the idea generated from fellow photographer Lori Nordstrom. Cynthia Pace, another fellow photographer from South Carolina, had implemented Lori’s program but held my hand thru the organization and planning also utilized Lori’s ideas and was a tremendous help to me. I am already looking forward to next year! Dates for the 2011 sessions are Feb. 4-5, March 4-5 and April 8-9. Help us make the 2nd annual March of Dimes Angels and Sweethearts Calendar a success!! Book a session for your children as a holiday gift. Call the studio at 865-525-5828 and talk to Debbie. The session fee is $100 which directly supports the March of Dimes. Book your session by December 20th and receive $100 in print credit.
