It is all about weddings.. mostly at Seaton Shoots Photography. But since I have converted my blog over to seatonshootsblog.com my newborn images have taken a back burner. A quick look from a newborn session this fall. I still have seatonart online (my web site) with some more baby images.  If you are pregnant give us a call before you deliver to get your newborn images scheduled. To have the fresh out of the oven look your baby needs to be photographed before they are 2 weeks old. Yes it is hard to get out of the house and get to our studio with a newborn. But just come to the studio in your sweats and we will take care of the rest. We do have a few tricks to hid that mommy fat. Remember 9 months on 9 months off (well maybe more!!– we all do not look like Demi Moore and have a personal trainer) I only have a few “snapshots” of my girls at this age and so wish I had taken more. The 2 weeks will go by in a blink sooooo the best time to call is when you are in your 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. Love any comments!!

2010 Holiday Seaton Shoots Photography Just kids sessions

For several years now I have had clients ask if I shoot in in color. The answer has always been no… I love my sepia and  black and white. Well the door has opened and Seaton Shoots Photography is launching Just Kids. We are starting with holiday themed mini sessions. The approach is still my style: simple, clean and uncluttered images with the emphasis on the emotions and personalities. So last weekend we had fun! We brought the Seaton girls and several of their friends to the studio and cranked up the tunes on Pandora and got Sara Tennessee dancing.. If you like what you see and would like some of your kids we have 2 days we are creating these images. November 24, Wednesday before Thanksgiving and December 4th, Saturday. (The attached image says November 20th- that day is full.) The sessions are Just Kids.. meaning not family sessions and are mini sessions up to 20 minutes at our downtown studio. $69 covers the session fee and comes with 1- handmade wooden ornament with image, 1-8×10 and 1-image for facebook. AND these Just Kids sessions have special pricing for packages, wall portraits and gift giving. If the dates don’t work for your family this year keep an eye out for the sessions for 2011. ( ie sign up for our emails and RSS this blog to find out more!) Call today 865-525-5828. We only have space for 9 more spots. We did a pre-release to family and friends and the spots have been filling up. If you like what you see love some blog comments!

Photographer captures Les Trois Chefs
THE premier Knoxville wine & food event
benefitting Childhelp

Les Trois Chefs logo

I had a great time photographing the Les Trois Chefs event on October 8, 2010 benefitting Childhelp Tennessee.  The food and wine were outstanding – I do see why this event has been called the premier food and wine event in Knoxville. Chef Louis Osteen, a James Beard award winning chef, designed the menu created by he and Knoxville’s own Chef David Pinckney of Cherokee Country Club and Charles Walters of Flemings.  From the salmon in mustard gratin to the Benton’s bacon wrapped quail followed by a filet mignon with creamed spinach, potato cake and spicy fried oysters…and then topped off with a buttermilk tart with raspberries from All Occasions Catering and Jack Daniels truffles!  To round this delectable dinner off to its finest, each of the four courses was paired with wine from MadoraM Vineyard in northern Napa Valley. (To top it off all was gluten-free except the tart! ) This fun group of attendees had a great time socializing during the cocktail hour and bidding on the silent auction items.  The live auction afforded unique trips and opportunities to the bidders.  More details can be found at www.ltcknoxville.com. Sunday’s Knoxville News Sentinel featured this story  These guests seemed to be genuinely having a great time! More images to come on the Seaton Shoots Photography Facebook page.

March Of Dimes
Bruce Pearl Golf Classic
0

October 11th was the March of Dimes Bruce Pearl Golf Classic held at Gettysvue Country Club. The weather was amazing and Stephanie Moyers and her team had a few slate of golfers to play. Barry was there to capture the University of Tennessee Basketball Coach. Bruce only supports a few charities and the March of Dimes is proud to have his endorsement. Not sure who took the photo of Barry but we will have to see if we can get autographed!! Thru regstration, corporate sponsors and the silent auction the  golf classic helped raise funds to improve the health of babies. November 14th is Knoxville’s March of Dimes 20th Annual Signature Chefs Auction. Signature Chefs Auction is an up-scale culinary event that features a tasting of your favorite area restaurants. Each chef prepares one of their signature dishes.. lots to eat and drink.. it is a fun event with great live and silent auction items to bid on just perfect for holiday gift giving. Look for more images of all the teams on the Seaton Shoots Photography facebook fan page.
