Loniann and Shawn tied the knot at the end of July– yes catching up on blog posts!! They have long had their album design and online proofing to view and order from. (Quick note: Getting orders out to clients and wedding albums designed is our first priority at Seaton Shoots Photography so the blogging takes a second.) All around fun day for the wedding crew @Crescent Bend. Super cool shoes. Bright, fun summery flowers by Always in Bloom. And did we say Jake was there? Jim Ogle’s right hand main man in the DJ scene.. Have to say pretty cool wedding leave. Loniann hopped on Shawn’s bike in her wedding dress and away they rode into the night.

A big part of Seaton Shoots Photography is giving back with our time and talents. March of Dimes is just one of the local charities that we support. This year is the 20th year for the March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Auction. If you have never been it is a great party, great food and great fun! This year was the first Signature Drinks Challenge on September 14, 2010. The party was a precursor to the Chef’s Auction -A sampling of original beverage creations by some of the area’s finest establishments, heavy hors d’ouevres, live jazz music and a silent auction. It was held at AMS Technology Center off Crosspark Drive. Club LeConte, The Crown and Goose ; Latitude 35; Regas Square and Sapphire A Modern Bar and Restaurant were the drink sponsors and Cario Cafe – The Mirage; Papa Murphy’s; Rita’s Italian Ice; Regas – The Gathering Place; Touch Of Love Catering all brought incredible yummy food. Oh, the winning drinks were created by Regas for the non-alcoholic drink, Autumn Sunset and Barry’s favorite, The. Crown and Goose for their alcoholic creation, the blueberry martini! These winning drinks will be featured as the “Signature” drinks of the Signature Chefs Auction.
That night we also unveiled the first East Tennessee March of Dimes Angels and Sweethearts Calendar! This beautiful calendar was produced locally with children from the region, photography by yours truly and printed by Print Edge. Will you help us meet our goal to raise $10,000 by the Chefs auction and support the March of Dimes? The Angels and Sweethearts calendar is $15 so go to our sister blog http://seatonshoots.org to purchase the calendar online or stop by these local establishments that have the calendars available. Enchanted Events (in Downtown West), Southern Market, Lisa Ross Birth and Maternity Center, Crenshaw’s Children’s Shop, Art and Frame Outlet and Migun TN. Following are just a few images taken by Melissa Wilke.

Creative wedding proposal story! After meeting in Japan, then moving to Tennessee, Travis popped the big question at the University of Tennessee Trial Gardens. Nope he just didn’t ask.. he made a stepping stone that said. “Sara will you marry me?” put it under a fountain and then just happened to take Sara there. Well how could she say no? Sara and Travis have a bit in common with Barry and I .. they also met in Japan. Sara was studying and Travis was deployed there with the Navy. Barry and I met there in 1993 or was it 1992.. while we both were teaching English.. you will have to ask Barry about his wedding proposal story. That’s a whole different blog entry. Check out the super cool chopstick holders and great cake with fun bright summer colors. Flowers by Jennie and Leonard at Always in Bloom. Sara who is a studio art major (also like moi!!) had some nice casual touches to their wedding day. Short dresses, suits for guys rather than tuxes with pink ties and nicely done iced tea wedding favors for the guests.

Hot, hot and hot! Did Mel say that Eric’s dad brought towels and had them in a cooler for the groomsmen to cool their faces with? What a great wedding idea for a summer wedding! Needless to say.. Shayna looks incredible awesome in the wedding images and everyone was a total trooper for all the photo taking at Crescent Bend!! Shayna and Eric’s wedding was definitely a family event! Her brother, who is a minister, performed their wedding vows. Eric’s brother also took part in the wedding ceremony and sang during the service. Great flowers by Jenny and Leonard at Always in Bloom. Jim Ogle got the music rolling and All Occasions Catering put out a splendid fare of yummy things to eat.
