Love of UT football leads to Bridal Portraits 3

A lot of brides these days are looking for something a bit different for their bridal portraits. Megan Rogers happened to be marrying a former University of Tennessee football player, Matt McGlothlin. So Barry  Seaton and Megan came up with something extra special… “Not many brides would climb a 10-foot ladder in their 15-pound, strapless wedding dress to try to get on a goal post in the end zone. Nor run up and down stairs at Neyland Stadium in the dress and then hang it in the locker room in exchange for shoulder pads. But bride Megan McGlothlin did in the spirit of capturing perfect bridal portraits. That’s what the love of all things Orange and White can make someone do. As it turned out, her attempt to pose on the goal post was a bust. Though she climbed the ladder, she and photographer Barry Seaton realized the shot wouldn’t work. She ended up in the stands behind the post, and Seaton shot from an angle that makes her appear perched atop it. ”I was more afraid of ruining my dress before the wedding than I was of falling off the goal post,” Megan McGlothlin, 24, said. “It was much higher than I expected.”McGlothlin took her bridal portraits in and around the stadium as a surprise for her husband Matt McGlothlin, 27, a walk-on defensive tackle who started as a red-shirt freshman…. For the whole story check out Knoxnews.com! Special thanks to Allison Rupp freelance contributor to the News Sentinel. Love comments and thoughts on the post.

photography studio twitter design 0

Small miracles really do happen at our photography studio. 1). Today Debbie and I installed signage on the door to the studio. Thank you to High Res for cutting the vinyl and teaching me how to  install. Now when you drive by you can find us!! Please call first if you planning a visit we may be photographing on location.

2). Found this site http://www.blog.spoongraphics.co.uk. The design blog is written by a designer from  Sheffield, UK ( factoid: where Baz went to University) about how to set up a twitter custom designed background using a psd file. I know for many of you it def is old hat. But it was on my list of to dos for a really long time and it kept getting pushed to the bottom. And for other half of non-photoshoppers a out there … a psd is just a file format. Still not sure about the colors. I’m going to live with it a day or two. Love any suggestions on how to make it better? We decided to do our twitter together.. well it is just better together. Go to http://twitter.com/Baz_Sarah_Lynn to follow us and keep current and see what Seaton Shoots is doing. (PS  keep up to date there may be prizes later for factoids!)

Wedding Photography at the
Knoxville Convention Center
Megan Rogers + Matt McGlothlin
0

Megan and Matt McGlothlin booked Seaton Shoots Wedding Photography in February of 2009 and during their engagement we have gotten to know them not just as clients but as friends. Megan planned and organized so many special touches for their wedding day. An outdoor ceremony location at the Knoxville Convention Center, cool gift bags, runners, special lighting by Divine Decor and super fun bridal portraits.. just to start. Many of you may know that Matt McGlothin was a big part of UT football. Needless to say Megan incorporated  a lot of orange from the University of Tennessee into the wedding day. The “Kerr Team” was there handling the video and music during the ceremony. And Paramount DJ and Dance got the party rockin’. Melissa Wilke and Jessica Grubb– our team of wedding photographers all worked together to get some incredible images. Thanks guys… Best wishes! You guys are off to a wonderful start.
